Potential Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Why did you create this blog?

Mostly as an exercise to practice writing in between other more serious writing projects. 

2. Why did you call it "Dungeon Crawl Soundtrack"?

Because I'm a gamer, and the music I listen to the most is music that I'd have playing in the background while gaming.

3.  What's up with your rating system/What does "Listen D.C." mean?

I tried to come up with a unique rating system. I didn't want to just do "3/5 stars" or "8.4325/10", so I again fell back on the gaming theme. In d20 systems, a D.C. is a Difficulty Class. You roll a 20-sided die to beat the D.C. skill check of whatever you're attempting, the higher the better. In this case, the D.C. would be for creating a perfect album for the masses to listen to--hence, "Listen D.C." (Which I know means something different to actual gamers.)

 4. Why the hell should I care what you think?

You don't have to. I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing it for me--again, as an exercise. That's why the music I'm reviewing is music I choose, and why it states on the main page "In my musical opinion." That's exactly what it is--my musical opinion. You don't have to listen to my recommendations or agree with me. It's also why there aren't a lot of phrases like "I feel..." or "To me, it seems...". Because it should all be understood to be one person's subjective opinion.
